Herbalism at the Fairy & Human Relations Congress
Plant Spirit Medicine Track
Every single year of the Fairy Congress has included presenters and workshops on
herbs, trees and plant spirit medicine. Herbalism and nature spirits are intertwined.
800 people attended the 2024 Northwest Herbal Fair at Lake Leland near Quilcene
(same site as this year’s Fairy Congress). It was a fantastic gathering and lots of
people have told me that they are disappointed I am not holding the NW Herbal Fair
in 2025 (since I couldn’t do justice to both gatherings this year). However as a
result of this demand for an herbal gathering, we are having a Plant Spirit Medicine
track at the Fairy Congress. Every workshop period will feature one or more
workshops related to herbs. One of our structures will be an Herb Lodge where
plant spirit medicine workshops are held and where herbalists can gather, caucus,
meet and talk. There will be a sign-up sheet if anyone wants to teach a side class,
nature walks, hands-on things, etc.
2025 Plant Spirit Medicine Track: Presenters so far:
Roberta Mackrill, the Beekeepers Daughter, is a curendera who walks the old path
of plant and stone spirit medicine. A medicine maker of 53 years, she shares the
medicine and magic of the plants of the Pacific Northwest and the master teacher
plants of the Peruvian Amazon. Her workshop will be on: Plant and Stone Spirit
Medicine. Join me in the magic and mystery of the world of plant and stone. Share
with me their voices, stories, and partake in a yummy brew to help us heal ourselves

Robyn Bluemmel, is a plant and animal communicator, commercial artist, designer
and illustrator. In 2020 she completed a thirteen-year journey, and promise to the
plant world by publishing her book Native Plant Spirit Wisdom: Messages from the
Plant World. Robyn’s workshop: Native Plant Spirit Wisdom will focus on learning
about native plants of the Pacific Northwest and their compassionate interest in
working with we humans. Robyn will share her knowledge of plant communication
by facilitating participants to deepen their connection with the plant world by
meeting and communicating with a native plant. The goal of the workshop is to form
a lifelong personal relationship with a plant ally so that they may share their
wisdom with us.
Camilla Blossom, is a frequent Fairy Congress presenter who teaches the Plant
Spirit Medicine Path. Camilla’s work and passion has centered on attuning to and
learning from the spiritual and subtle energy of the earth—flowers and plants,
elementals, nature realms, and land. She is a pioneering flower essence maker
(author of the book, Sacred Spirit of The Gorge~ Columbia River Gorge Flower
Essences and Essences of Place). For over 30 years, Camilla has walked the healer’s
path with the spirits of nature honoring the wisdom and teachings of plant spirit
realms, fairy and elemental realms. Her 2025 presentation is on
“Grandmother Lodge: Co-Creating with the Sacred Void”.

Jan Kinsey, Nature Shaman, and Camilla Blossom will lead a Shamanic Plant
Journey with Fireweed. We will drink an elixir made from the plant, do guided
shamanic journeys, and sing and tone with the plant spirit. For the last 4 years, we
have had a plant spirit ceremony at the beginning of the Fairy Congress. It started
with an Oak ceremony in 2021. Then we did ceremonies for Yarrow, Hawthorn and
Goldenrod
The focus of these plant ceremonies is to
– experience a healing from the plant spirit
– develop a working relationship with the plant
– learn how its medicine pertains to you and your community.
Sylvia Platt’s workshop will be on Flower Essences. Sylvia has heard the plants
singing since she was very young: wild, cultivated and house; and they have offered
her love, generosity, wisdom, and care. Developing a conscious relationship with the
land, and the unseen realms and beings which inhabit these places, continues to be a
profound experience for her. As she integrates this understanding and knowledge,
she connects more and more deeply with Nature and has learned how to help clear
past trauma and negative energies on the land.
Amba AlianaHi is leading this year’s Thursday’s immersion class: Awakening the
Heart’s Garden with Mama Cacao. In this sacred ceremony you will be guided on a
sacred shamanic sound journey, where ethereal medicine songs and tunes and
rhythms will deepen your connection to the Earth and the cosmos. Amidst the
echoes of this sound bath, you will be invited on a profound plant spirit journey to
enter your heart and meet the wise grandmother Spirit of Mama Cacao to receive
her guidance wisdom.
Michael Pilarski is the founder of the Northwest Herbal Fair and the Fairy &
Human Relations Congress. Plant spirit medicine: herbs, humans and fairies
working together. His workshop is on Blending & Becoming. During the workshop
we will journey to meet our spiritual allies and practice blending with them. We
each have our own personal group of allies who exist on other planes of existence.
We blend with our spiritual team to form a blended being. We do this out of love for
each other and love for the Earth. This exercise can only work with the power of
love. Our blended beings will be a force of love in the world.
Of course, many other people who attend the Congress are involved in plants and
herbalism.
Plant Spirit Medicine Caucus. This can happen at one or more lunch periods at the
Congress. We can eat lunch together, introduce ourselves, network and share. Let’s
have fun bringing the herbal/plant people together!
