The Fairy & Human Relations Congress has a rich and illustrious history, both in the fairy realm and in the human realm. The very first Congress was in the fairy realm and was the idea of the nature fairies who worked with Daphne Charters. It was described in detail in Daphne Charter’s 1956 book A True Fairy Tale. The purpose of the Congress was to bring together nature fairies from around the world to discuss the “human problem” and to brainstorm ways of improving the situation on Earth.  Daphne was the only incarnate human who attended. The Congress was organized by and for the fairies. Around 1,000 fairies attended and it was so successful that they were held annually in the fairy realm up to at least 1985, which was the last one described in Daphne’s writings.  They grew in size until hundreds of thousands of fairies attended.  It was a big deal in the fairy realm! Daphne’s writing on this phase of the Fairy Congress are contained in the book Forty Years with the Fairies. We do not know the developments of this fairy phase after 1985.

I was inspired by Daphne’s description of the Fairy & Human Relations Congress to organize something similar on the physical plane.  It would include participation of physical humans as well as nature fairies and devas (the Devic realm). After a few years of gestation I organized the first physical Fairy & Human Relations Congress in 2001.  It was held at the Skalitude Retreat Center in the Methow valley, a remote location in the eastern North Cascade mountains.  Skalitude was the perfect place to hold the Congress being an inholding surrounded by National Forest in a fully-functioning, beautiful ecosystem with no other human habitation for miles.  Skalitude was owned at the time by Lindsey Swope who had dedicated the property to human and nature spirit cooperation.  Lindsey became an important part of the organizing team and now focuses on the online version, called the Gaian Congress.

The 2001 Fairy & Human Relations Congress was superb and full of magic and heart. 125 physical human attended and thousands of fairies.  It was so successful that it has continued annually up to this time. It brings together humans who wish to communicate and cooperate with the fairy realms.  It has always been the goal of the Fairy Congress to invite the most experienced fairy communicators in the world to share with us.  We have had over 120 presenters over the years including some of the world’s most famous. Robert J. Stewart presented at most of our first ten Congresses.  David Spangler has presented five times, Dorothy McLean of Findhorn fame presented 4 times. Peter Tompkins, author of the pivotal book The Secret Life of Plants attended in 2005 and we presented him with an award. Many of our presenters have written books about their fairy work.  Our presenters combined have written over 300 books on the topic and they constitute a repository of rich knowledge on fairy knowledge. Our website www.fairycongress.com has a chart of presenters at the Fairy Congress over the years.

The numbers of humans who attend the Fairy Congress has varied between 125 and 300 people over the years (with the exception of 2020, the year of the covid lockdown when we had to publicly cancel the event and only 60 of the inner circle attended). We are told that the numbers of fairies and fairy realm beings has increased over the years and they number in the many thousands.  They far outnumber the humans in attendance.

What started as an event for humans and nature spirits (fairies and devas of the Devic realm) has expanded over the years to include other types of beings.  Dragons started showing up, then sasquatches, star-beings from off-planet. A notable addition has been the Sidhe, sometimes referred to as faeries, who are not nature spirits, who reside in another frequency of Earth.  Add in other beings who might be referred to as gods, goddesses and muses and the Fairy & Human Relations Congress now hosts a wide diversity of beings from many realms.  Truly a melting pot and a place of negotiation between many earth realms and beyond.  There is nothing else quite like it in the world. The humans who attend are delegates and ambassadors.  Together we are working for a more harmonious and healed world.  Sort of a high-level United Nations.  We are doing important work for humanity and all beings of the Earth.  Plants, animals, the oceans, the atmosphere, the climate, etc.

Education is a big focus of the event and we generally have 12 to 20 presenters each year who give workshops and experiential journeys. Almost everyone attends these workshops where those who are the most experienced in working with the fairy realms share their insights and how-to with the rest of us.

Besides the serious nature of our fairy work, the Fairy Congress is a lot of fun! We do a lot of singing and dancing. Music and concerts. We hold ceremonies and rituals.  We build deep friendships, There are a lot of hugs and laughter.  A lot of people wear colorful, gay clothing. We especially dress up for our Saturday evening ritual and fairy parade.  The participation and energy from the fairy realms are palpable during this time.  Digital cameras capture thousands of orbs in photos.  The fairy parade culminates in  the Fairy Charge where we line up in long lines and charge across the field as two opposing lines.  When we meet in the middle we do lots of hugs.  An amazing and exhilarating experience!

Our rituals, ceremonies and fairy work reaches across the planet and affects all people and all realms.  We are a force for good on the Earth.

The physical plane Fairy & Human Relations Congress has been held at 3 different venues so far and in 2025 will be held at a 4th and new location. The 2001 through 2003 Congresses were held at Skalitude in Eastern Washington; 2004 and 2005 were held on Hood River at the Riversong Sanctuary. 2006 thru 2020 were back at Skalitude and 2021 thru 2024 were at an Old-Growth Canyon outside of Salem, Oregon. 2025 will be at Twana Springs, near Quilcene, Washington on the Olympic Peninsula.  2025 will be the 25th anniversary in the physical realm and the 60th anniversary in the fairy realm!
