The Fairy & Human Relations Congress started as an annual event. The Congress is dedicated to Promoting Communication and Co-Creation with Nature Spirits, Devas and the Faery Realms. Initially started in the early 1950’s in England with Daphne Charters, the first Congress in the US was held at the Skalitude Retreat Center in the Methow Valley, north-central Washington in 2001. It continued at that site from 2001 to 2003 and again from 2006 to 2020. In 2004 and 2005 it was held near Hood River. In 2021 we moved to a site near Salem, OR and hope to be there for the next several years.
We honor everyone’s contribution. Each human and fairy who attends brings their own special magic and knowledge to share. We are all students and we are all teachers and co-creators. Each participant is an important delegate to this convocation of many beings.

The Fairy & Human Relations Congress affects the planet by joining with the nature, devic and other higher realms to bring more peace, love and understanding into the world. Our goal is not to escape the outer world but to positively affect it.
At this time of multiple crises affecting humanity we feel it is very important to seek alliances with as many light forces as possible in other realms. Mother Earth and the fairy realms ARE big players in what is transpiring on the planet. Though many deny their existence, the numbers of people who are tuning into the spiritual realms and to the nature spirit/fairy/devic realms is increasing by leaps and bounds.
The Congress is one of the vanguard events bringing these people together. We are not a frivolous event although we do have lots of fun and costume up. Our intent is communication and cooperation, not only for our personal selves, but for all of humanity. We are allying ourselves with Mother Earth and with the forces for peace and love on planet Earth.
Most of the Congress workshops have a focus on communication and many are participatory. A lot of communication takes place at the Congress.
There are many worldwide efforts to promote peace between peoples, races, and religions; and for the protection and preservation of animal and plant species. Here at the Fairy Congress we are among the vanguard of humans working to bring peace and understanding between humans and the fairy realms.
The humans are vastly outnumbered at the Congress by the fairies, devas and other Light beings who are in attendance.
How many fairies and devas attend? We are assured it is in the thousands. Fairies and devas of many ranks and sizes attend. Some are similar in size to the small ‘hand-size’ fairies we see represented in the common press. Others are immense beings of great power. Remember though, that size is not necessarily an indicator of knowledge, wisdom or power. The fairy beings who attend the Fairy Congress are fully as intelligent (and often much more so) than the human participants. We approach the fairies and devas with respect and love as co-creators of this event. We are meeting as equal participants. The fairies and devas have a concurrent Congress as well as interacting with the human participants during circles and joint meditations.
Through the years, we have been joined by Peter Tompkins (Secret Life of Plants), Findhorn co-founders Dorothy Maclean and David Spangler, and teachers in the Celtic Faery tradition RJ Stewart, Caitlín Matthews and Orion Foxwood.
Our presenters also include flower essence specialists, animal and plant communicators, shamanic practitioners and herbalists, wildcrafters, fairy seers, intuitives, geomancers, Bards and Druids, and Native American storytellers.
