Honoring Your Nature Family
When we first began, long time ago we understood our oneness. It wasn’t even an act of consciousness so much as it was the sweetness of simply being. We spoke to the trees, the animals, the wind, the sun, the moon and the stars, the elementals, the spirits of everything that is. We breathed the air, drank the water, walked the land, nourished ourselves from the bounty around us and we lived in harmony with each other; all
beings. We had no concept of separation.
Somewhere along the way, for more reasons than we have time to speak, we became separate. Many mythologies took us there. Yet we know to breathe because it just is. We are compelled to inhale without question.
It is mostly automatic and unnoticed. We are also compelled to drink or die and it is again without question; and nothing more than the act of satisfying thirst.
What is most interesting is those very things that are acts of communion, confirmation of oneness; not separation, as one being integrating within the whole is done without consciousness as a sacred act long since taken for granted; forgotten.
In the balance of all that is, there is a natural ebb and flow to the cosmic energy dancing before us and waiting to be seen, to be remembered. Our relationship with plants, a beautiful understanding of our interconnectedness, is forgotten within our consciousness. Plants that give us oxygen vital for our breath, then take up the carbon dioxide from our exhalation. It is nourishment for us both and that nourishment is the cosmic life force in balance and a perfect dance of reciprocity, ayni, and communion.
We do not always recognize this dance.
Our indigenous ancestors understand the nature of this flow. Nothing is meant to be held. In communion with all that is, we give and receive continuously with our energy and physical bodies as we are interconnected to each other, all life forms, and Mother earth. There is ebb and flow.
And then there is our resistance through the mythology that there is not enough. It fills our existence with fear; causing us to strategize and compete with all things to secure our way to what we perceive we need.
There is neither need to rape and pillage our great Mother nor all that walks, swim, and fly upon her belly. There is no need to hoard and no need to fear. We forgot the simplest understanding from the beginning and that is the trusting. It is the knowing of the ebb and flow that provides enough. It is the wisdom we are one. We are not
separate. Each being, each spirit and energetic life form is neither more nor less important. Within the ebb and flow each aspect is part of the grand communion in the symbiotic dance of creation and as such, has been and always will be provided for.
