Jan Kinsey has been one of the organizers for the Fairy & Human Relations Congress for close to 20 years. He is a shamanic practitioner who is passionate about working with the spirits of nature, especially weather spirits and facilitating plant ceremonies with Pacific Northwest medicinal plants.
In his healing practice, Jan utilizes shamanic healing practices and energy work to address underlying causes that are manifesting as dis-ease or emotional imbalances. He has worked in medical clinics that specialize in treating auto-immune and chronic illnesses.
He co-leads the Wy’east Enchanted, a community circle for PDX/Vancouver folks, with Camilla Blossom.

Awakening the Elder
Within an acorn is a fully-grown oak. We are going to awaken the elder within us by working with the ancient ones and journeying to our future selves.
There is a West Africa saying that goes “If elders are lost, adults will be lost. If Adults are lost, youth will be lost”.

Goldenrod: Shamanic Plant Journey with Goldenrod (Jan Kinsey & Camilla Blossom)
Join us in ceremony with Goldenrod. We will drink an elixir made from the plant, do guided shamanic journeys, and sing and tone with the plant spirit.
For the last 3 years, we have had a plant spirit ceremony at the beginning of the Fairy Congress on Thursday evening. In 2021, we did an Oak ceremony. The following year, Yarrow was given center stage. Last year Hawthorn shared its medicine. This year Goldenrod is calling for a ceremony.
The focus of these plant ceremonies is to
– experience a healing from the plant spirit
– develop a working relationship with the plant
– learn how its medicine pertains to you and your community.
