Julie Spangler

Julie Spangler

Julie lives outside of Seattle, Washington, USA, with her husband David, in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains near enough to see the stunning beauty of Mount Ranier. Their four adult children live near enough to see without much trouble, too. Adding to her joy are two grandkids who remind her of the magic that is this world and all the life within it, and the brilliance of the body and mind as we learn to navigate this life.

Julie is one of the co-founders of Lorian, and has worked for 50 years with her husband David and others in developing an Incarnational Spirituality.  Her focus within the IS field of teaching is to support the fusion of soul and personality which allows clearer access to the inner worlds. This includes knowing and trusting that personal connection to the sacred, as well as enfolding the elements of personal life expression and experience within the love that the soul holds for the incarnate self.  The integration of these parts of ourselves constitutes a sense of wholeness and the ability to fully hold the chalice of blessing that we are and can offer to our world, as well as enabling deeper connection with subtle beings such as those the Fairy Congress encourages and enables.

Honoring the Human in the Human/Fairy Relationship

In our work with the Faery worlds, who is it that is making connection? We are not fairies, we are humans with our own unique and beautiful relationship to the sacred and to this wonderful world we have entered into. What is it we bring to the faery when we offer the hand of friendship and collaboration?

Julie will explore the importance of love in this connection, not only loving the subtle beings we connect with, but also loving the self that is reaching for that connection. Often our human selves get sidelined in the beauty and glamour of the Faery and Sidhe.  But being able to stand in the beauty of being human, and loving the individuality that we humans stand in, is essential for a deeply connected partnership with our subtle friends.  It is from this stable foundation of being an individual sacred identity that we can hold the Big Love that is the source of connection.

Through her talk, Julia will offer an imaginal experience to enabling appreciation and love for the personality, body, history – all that makes us human and different from the fairy while also honoring that sacred presence which connects us. She will invite you to bring to the table of collaboration a strong field that offers the riches of humanness to the inter/worlds relationship.  The Faery do not seek friendship with people wanting to be Faery.  They want to learn from us about what it is to be human and how to work together with humanity to serve Gaia. Let us bring to them the best selves we can!
