Look for the two owls and you will know that you found us. Visit us on our website – twocronesandamicrophone.com for additional information and blogs about our topics. And SOON a Two Crones YouTube channel! Yay!
Linda has over 35 years of corporate experience, where she has had ample opportunity to apply these practices in daily life.
Goddess as the Living Land – Becoming the Beloved – told through the stories of Maeve, Celtic Goddess of Fertility and Protection.
Maeve is an ancient and powerful goddess, king maker, a war leader and protectress of the land, of sacred Tara (Ireland), Irish/Celtic queen of the fae, She who Intoxicates, like mead, the honey wine. Who is she really? She harks back to an older time – She is the Land, its steward, goddess and queen. She listens and speaks for the earth, honoring Gaia. In matrilineal society, the sovereign goddess of the land mated with any possible king to be certain he was worthy to rule. Only if she agreed and he was a pleasing lover to Her, the Land, would she share the mead cup to make him king. Maeve is a Sovereign, ruling longer than any King – She made her own decisions and led Her people in Love and war, if needed to protect the Land. We will conclude with a ritual to bond each participant as a Beloved to the Living Land (if they so choose).
We will explore Maeve’s stories and their intersection with our beautiful Living Land. We will laugh, share stories and perform a ritual Handfasting, available to each participant to invoke with the Land, making a commitment as a Beloved and protectress/protector of the Land. Of course we will include poetry, song and a lively discussion at the end. All are Welcome!
